What I Know I know it’s not possible to lift my leg from my hamstrings, and how difficult disdain is to swallow. I know my eyes will lie, and that knockout power comes from my feet. I know flat turnout is a lower leg illusion. I know the best things happen by accident. I know the language of angels — biblically accurate. I know that Tarot’s not real. I’ve disappointed myself and I will disappoint myself. It's taken decades. I know we don’t really know anything at all. | Two Zero One Seven I know the language of angels (biblically accurate) comes with a cost. Did I deserve this shitstorm? I must’ve deserved this shitstorm. I know fear takes many forms and that sometimes, the only way to survive is to detach. Was I asking for it? I must’ve asked for it. I know the power of self-delusion, and just how cruel a man can be. I know that bad things really do happen to good people, I’ve learned that bad and good are metrics we’ve made up to make sense of nonsense. I know that nothing you say to me will ever change my mind. But I’ll stay alive, just out of spite. |
